Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) provides a variety of insurance and health care benefit solutions throughout the country. Based on where you live, BCBS offers various HMO (health maintenance organization), PPO (negotiated network) plans, PPO plans with a Health Savings Account (HSA), and Indemnity plans (non-network coverage). Many of these plans (with appropriate changes) will be available on either a group basis to employers for employee benefit packages or available as individual or family plans or, in some areas, as both group and individual plans. For seniors, and depending on your region, BCBS offers a number of plans, including non-network and national Medicare supplemental insurance and local coverage only BCBS-in-network Medicare supplemental insurance.
